I thought I would have trouble finding G photos, but I came up with a few.
First, Great Sand Dunes. We hiked up to High Dune at sunrise and got some amazing shots. I highly recommend the journey.
This shot is from the first time I went to the Grand Canyon. We hiked down to Plateau Point and up again in about 8 hours. It is a tough hike, but definitely worth it.
Here is some Gypsum from Lake Lucero in New Mexico. These crystals are weathered into the white sand that makes up White Sands National Monument (saving that one for W).
I didn't even realize that these where all Geology pictures. You would think, being a geologist in training, that would have been the first thing I thought of. I didn't even think about geology as being a g word today. Thanks guys for cluing me in :)

I like all your photos. Your photos are excellent for representing "G". I wish I could visit Grand Canyon sometime in the future.
What a great choice for the letter G!! Fantastic photos:)
Stunning views!
Great G post!
(How do you get the pic's to open larger when you click on them? I can't get mine to do that!)
Hello Kim,
You are doing great for G , I like the Grand canyon very much, also the Gympson in New? Mexico (where is this?) I know Mexico but not the "new" before Mexico... anyway intersting thanks:)
Greetings from JoAnn
Come and visit my blog and look what I posted with ABC's G ?
Fascinating! I love the gypsum crystals.
What a traveler you are. Thanks for the great photos.
I love when the obvious eludes one! Geology...that is pretty funny! We went to the Grand Canyon and LOOKED at the way down and decided to just take the bus tour on the top! But we might have walked if we hadn't been with my 87 y/o MIL...although she might have been up for it!
Have fun at your convention. I am off to San Francisco for a few days as well.
All your photos are great i especially like the last one with the history
IO thought the gypsum at first was a river rushing by.
Grandiose landscapes !great pictures !
Miss Yves
That first shot is stunning. Good luck with your photography. Do let me know if I can help in any way ...
I love the picture of the Grand Canyon - I loved it when I went there a few years back.
Sorry it's taken a while to get back to you after ABC, but I've been ill this week.
