Chicago Cultural Club

Northwestern has this club that takes trips into Chicago to do cool things, and they pay for it. Last time we went to the Science and Industry Museum to see the Star Wars Exhibit. It had a bunch of props from the movies and some hands on exhibits to play with. Unfortunately it was Saturday so kids were swarming the place and I couldn't really get in there to play with things. Even though it was a pretty cool exhibit I was glad we didn't have to pay for it, or the rest of the museum. Out of all the museums in Chicago it is my least favorite. There aren't very many hands on exhibits, I love to play with things, and the cool hands on exhibits you have to pay extra for. I did my undergraduate research in physics education, so I was very disappointed in the physics/chemistry/science part of the museum. Basically, they have some computers set up, they are old computers, and there are multiple choice question on them you can answer. Half of the computers didn't work when I was there, and who wants to take a test at a museum. Maybe it has changed since the last time I was there, but I doubt it. My future museum is going to be so much better :)

So, tonight we are going to see Wicked downtown. I am sooo... excited, but disappointed at the same time. The problem with the club is that they only buy so many tickets to these events, so they have to draw names for people to go. This time Derek's name didn't get drawn, and no one else I know is going. So I am pretty much going by myself. No one to share the experience with. I'm sure I will enjoy it, but enjoying it alone isn't as fun as enjoying it with someone. I am not bringing my camera with me because I don't think I'll get the chance to take pictures anyways.

I wanted to go see it with you.... bummer. It is so good, you are going to love it! I wish I could go.that sucks that you are going alone with nobody you know....no pictures you are right. I took 3 with my cell phone and then got yelled at and that was just of the curtain before it started. If you happen to be so inclined as to buy the soundtrack, I would go in on it with you as i love it.... miss you, love you...
